SALT LAKE CITY, UT (June 2006) - Williamsen Manufacturing, a Salt Lake City-based fabrication and heavy manufacturing company, has been awarded a $2.5 million contract to mutually design and fabricate specialized trailers with Boeing for the Department of Defense.
Williamsen Manufacturing has won an open-bid project to collaborate with the Boeing Corporation to design-built specialized trailers for the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Systems. Williamsen Manufacturing will design and build the trailers that will transport these new interceptor missile booster rockets.
Boeing Integrated Defense Systems is the Prime Contractor of the program, tasked to oversee and integrate systems for this project. William Manufacturing has been selected to provide the trailer transportation needs that the Department of Defense will require to support the Missile Defense Agency, located in Huntsville, Alabama.
