SALT LAKE CITY, UT (September 2007) - Williamsen Manufacturing, a Salt Lake City-based fabrication and heavy manufacturing company, has received an extension to its original contract with the Department of the Air Force to build Periodic Maintenance Team Vans.
The Periodic Maintenance Team Vans will be used to service and maintain the various strategic missile silos throughout the Intermountain West. The original contract that was established in 1988 will be extended with this award, which will service a number of new trailers for the following Air Force Bases: FE Warren, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Minot, North Dakota; and Malmstrom, Montana.
The 526 ICBM Systems Group of the Department of the Air Force will be working with Williamsen Manufacturing to customize the manufacturing design of the Team Vans. The 526th ICBM Systems Group is responsible for inception-to-retirement integrated weapons system management of Minuteman and Peacekeeper weapon systems.
