SALT LAKE CITY, UT (June 2008) - Williamsen Manufacturing, a Salt Lake City-based fabrication and heavy manufacturing company, has received global ISO 9100 and AS9100 certifications.
ISO 9001 is an international quality standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a worldwide federation of national standards bodies representing some 130 countries. Williamsen Manufacturing successfully achieved and implemented all the eight Quality Management Principles for its manufacturing operation.
AS9100 addresses the complexity and diversity of the industry's supply chain for the aerospace industry. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) defines individual manufacturing approvals through its Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and laws mandating compliance.
