SALT LAKE CITY, UT (July 2008) - Williamsen Manufacturing, a Salt Lake City-based fabrication and heavy manufacturing company, has received an extension contract valued at $1.3 million with the State of Utah.
The contract extension was awarded by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), to design and fabricate stainless-steel Dump Bodies and hydraulic systems for fleet vehicles. The added fleet will provide highway maintenance safety for Utah citizens; especially during hazardous road conditions.
UDOT is responsible for over 6,000 miles of highways—14% of the state's total highway road system of 40,707 miles. This responsibility includes snow removal, signage, bridges, repairs, building, and maintenance as well as the Traffic Operations Center with live camera coverage for monitoring road conditions, accidents, and safety.
